Updating a xbox 360
I then burned this folder to DVD and closed the session (opposite of making a multisession disc).
Booted up my XBox 360 put the DVD in, manually powered down the Xbox, then manually powered it back up again.

Copy to a USB flash drive If you cannot connect your Xbox 360 console to the Internet, you can copy the console update from your computer to a USB flash drive and then install it on the console.
In order to get these firmware updates for your Xbox, you normally would download them from Xbox Live.
